PipEdge — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application PipEdge (the "App") collects, uses and shares information when you use it. By using PipEdge, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Data we collect

Data stored locally on your device only:

Your trades log (instrument, entry/SL/TP, outcome, notes, screenshots) — stored in a local Room database on your device.
Your preferences (default currency, capital, risk %, broker, notification settings) — stored locally via Android DataStore.

This data never leaves your device. We do not have servers, accounts, cloud sync, or any way to access your trades. If you uninstall PipEdge, this data is deleted from your device.

Data collected by third-party SDKs we integrate:

Google AdMob — serves banner and interstitial advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID, IP address, approximate location (country/region from IP), device model, OS version, and ad interaction events, in accordance with Google's advertising policies.
Google Play Billing — processes the one-time in-app purchase to remove ads ("remove_ads"). Payment data is handled entirely by Google Play and never seen by us. We only receive a confirmation flag that the purchase was completed.
ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com) — when you use the currency converter tool, the App fetches public exchange rates over HTTPS. The request contains only your IP address (standard for any HTTP call) and no personal data.

2. How we use the data

To provide the App's core features (risk calculation, journal, statistics, tools).
To display advertising via Google AdMob, unless you have purchased the "Remove Ads" in-app product.
To process your "Remove Ads" purchase via Google Play Billing.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any party other than the third-party SDKs listed above, which operate under their own privacy policies.

3. Advertising and Advertising ID

PipEdge uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID to serve personalized ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising at any time:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.

If you purchase the "Remove Ads" in-app product (€3.99 one-time), all advertising is permanently disabled in the App and the AdMob SDK does not make ad requests.

4. Children's privacy

PipEdge is intended for users aged 18 and older. The App is a financial calculator and trading journal not designed for, marketed to, or directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

5. Data security

All on-device data is stored in the App's private sandbox, protected by Android's standard application sandboxing. Network requests (currency rates, AdMob, Billing) are transmitted over HTTPS.

6. Your rights

Because all your personal trading data is stored only on your device, you have full control:

Access / Export: the App lets you export your full journal to JSON (Settings → Backup) or CSV (Journal → Export).
Deletion: uninstalling the App removes all local data. You can also delete individual trades from inside the App.
Advertising opt-out: reset your Advertising ID in Android settings, or buy the "Remove Ads" product.

If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you also have rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection). Since we do not store any personal data on our servers, most of these rights are satisfied directly by your device-level controls. For any other request, contact us at gabrielox.work.app@gmail.com.

7. Disclaimer

PipEdge is a calculation and journaling tool for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument. Trading carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
